Gang Starr reigns supreme on their seventh studio album, One Of The Best Yet.

Making it the first release since 2003’s The Ownerz, and the passing of the late MC, Guru, producer DJ Premier tacks unearthed verses from his partner to a fresh new batch of beats. Here, Guru raps everlasting friendships and music (“Family & Loyalty“) with a shining verse by J.Cole. Elsewhere, Guru vents on the current state of Hip Hop and its bad politics (“Bad Name“).

Rounding out at 16 tracks, the project features a mix of both new and old school guests including M.O.P., Q-Tip, Royce 5’9″, Group Home, Jeru The Damaja, Nitty Scott, Ne-Yo, Talib Kweli, as well as both Freddie Foxxx and Big Shug for a Militia, Pt. 4. Oh yeah!
