Prince may be gone, but he certainly won’t be forgotten. A new documentary has just been announced involving the early years of his life, slated for a release in the upcoming year.
The doc is reportedly called Prince: R U Listening? and will be focusing on his early years along with commentary from family, friends, musicians, and those who knew the iconic singer the best.
Mick Jagger, Lenny Kravitz, Bono, and Billie Idol are all set to be included in the documentary as well as former band member Dez Dickerson, who left after Prince’s 1999 tour, and bassist André Cymone, who toured with the artist in 1981. According to Rolling Stone, longtime PBS filmmaker Michael Kirk will reportedly direct the film.
The film does not have a release date yet, but is scheduled to be released around the mid-to late area of next year.
